POLICE COURT.-Yesterday.
(Before TV. Eraser, Esq., R.M.).
Breach of the Impounding' Act.— Edward Taatrum was charged with allowing a goat to wander in G-roy-streot, Shortland, on the 10th instant. The animal had been impounded.—Defondant admitted the offenco, and was -fined Is and coats., His Worship warned goatkeepers that, as this was the season at which goats were liable to do most damage, ho would double the fine, or perhaps further inoreaae it, in future.
