The action brought by Mr J. 8. Macfarlane against Mr .Harris, jun., for alledgcd malicious prosecution, has occupied all the day. Damages arc laid at £1,000. The cvidcncc generally relates to the manner in which informations are laid in the charge of inciting to murder. John McLcod, .Justice of the Peace, and a firmer member of tho Assembly, before wholn the informations forming the gt'ouud of the present action were sworn, in reply to a question by the Judge, said he would not put much faith in Macfarlaae's statement on oath. His knowledge of his commercial and political influences led him to believe Macfarlane to be a very dangerous man. The case is not concluded.—Sailed: The s.s. 'Hero,' for Sydney and Melbourne.
