KAUWAERANGA HIGHWAY BOARD.

A meeting of the members of the above Board was, held on Friday .'evening 1 . Present—Mr Machab (Ohairman)i Mr Heron, Mr Greenville, and Mr Scott. ;

Borough .Council and the Highway Board was read.—Mr Greenville said that ho had soon it stated that the balance of amouuts due by the General and Provincial Government's were to be handed over to the Municipality. This had caused considerable dissatisfaction in the district, and he thought the matter should be submitted to the ratepayers. That the whole of tlic Government monies voted for the year— what had been expended and whatwas to come-should bo pud to the Borough—was not right, The money which had been spent on lowor Rioimnnd-street, had been spent since the Borough was constituted. £50 had been given by the Government for the Haps Road, and alikasum for
