THAMES SCOTTISH PRIZE FIRING.

Br the kind permission of Mr Moljireu, Captain Mclioberts, and Mr i£a ailtou, this company were permitted to fire at tiie Parawai range on Saturday. There were several prizes to be fired for, as follows :—Silver watch, £2, and a handsome plum cake. These were divided into six priaaa, aad to be ompited for only by men who never won a ompauy's prize before. Uanges—3Jo,4oo, and 50J yards, five shots at each. He was tied by Sergeant Hobertshaw, with 49, and hotly pressed by Corporal Scott, 43. Volunteers Jam 33 Bco vn and W. Littlejohn, 47 each.
