RITUALISTIC CLERGYMAN DEPOSED.
London, July 21. ; The action against the Eev. A. H. Mackonochie (formerly Incumbent of St. Albans, and afterwards appointed to the benefice of St. Peter's, London Docks), for illegalities of ritualistic ceremonies, practised at the former Church, conoluded to-day, when the final sentence of deprivation was pronounoed, and defendant condemned' to pay the cost of prosecution. NEW ZEALAND SHIPS ARRIVED HOME. Arrived: Ships Ariston, from Lyfctelton, April 14 ; Selkirk, from Xiyttelton, April 14; Aurora, from .Timaru, April 21 ; Sam Mendal, from .Lyttelton, April 18. CHOLERA EPIDEMIC IN EGYPT. ; Cairo, July 21. The ravages of the oholera epidemic in the native quarter of the city is daily redoubled. Tne Inhabitants are panicstricken, and numbers are dying in the 'streets in their attempts to escape infection. Sir Evelyn Wood and General Stephenson have undertaken the direction of sanitary measures which have been decided upon, and which will be vigorously enforced without delay. The quarter of the city in which the disease has taken the firmest hold, and which is especially crowded and unhealthy, is to be burnt; all other means of ■disinfecting being considered useless.
