TERMS OV PAYMENT. One-fourth of the purchaso money in cash on the fall of the hammer, tho remainder at or before the expiration of three calender months from the day of salo, to be paid at tho office of the Officer in charge of Confiscated Lands, Patea. By clause 18 of the confiscated Land Regulations, under which tho sale is to take placo, "in tho ovent of the second jmymont not being mado as aforesaid, tho sale shall bo void and tho deposit forfeited." Tho Whcnuaknra Block lies between the Patea and Wheuuakura Rivers, on the former of which tho Town of Carlyle is situated. The main road between Wellington and New Plymouth and tho surveyed railway line run through tho centre of the block, aud access to each section has been provided by road lines laid off during survey. The land is some of the best in New Zealand, and both from its quality and position, is admirably suited to tho requirement of persons of moderate means who intend to occupy and improve their own farms. The upset price of the Sections has been fixed, according to estimated value, within tho maximum limit of forty shillings pot* aero allowed by tho regulations. Plans may bo inspected at the Offico of the Secretary for Crown Lauds, Wellington ; at tho Survey Offico, Carlyle ; and tho Court House and Mr. Finuitnore's Offico, Wanganui. Regulations for the sale of the land may be seen in the New Zealand Gazette of tho Ist Juue, 1871, aud all required information obtained at this office. C. A.
