At the Magistrate's Court, Bright, water, yesterday; before Mr J. & EvSns b.M. John Howard Win was charged' With having failed to enrol in the l£ yeditionary Force. Defendant did not appear. v
Constable O'Donnell gave evidence tliat he interviewed defendant, who tailed to produce his enrolment card He admitted that he was not enrolled' stating that he did not think it necessary. '
Defendant was convicted and fined £5, with costs.
John William Win was1 charged with employing John Howard Win, a person not enrolled in the Expeditionary Force. There was no appearance of defendant.
Constable O'Donnell stated that defendant admitted that his son was in his employ, and when asked by him if he'was enrolled, defendant said he knew nothing about it.
The Magistrate convicted defendant,, and imposed a fine of £20, with costs.
