SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY.
The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce had before it the other night (says the "Times") a voluminous report from Mr G. M. Thomson outlining the history and present position of the movement, for the better co-ordination, of science and industry in the dominion. The report indicated the cause'of the apparent hanging-up of the scheme, 'but similar action was being taken in other centres, andi a wide Geld of usefulness was opening up. The matter was at present being advanced by -the Standing Committee of the Ng\y Zealand Institute in Wellington, which was acting in conjunction with tlie -National Efficiency Board. It was decided to thank Mr Thomson for his interest and the information he had given, and to express the unanimous desire of the chamber to further the object in any way possible.
