HEAVY SNOW.
AN ICE-BOUND AREA.
[Australian and N.Z. Cable Association)
(Received Dec. 20, 7.20 p.m.)
London, Dec. 19.
Tfco United Press correspondent reports that seldom has it been quieter. Tho cduntrj is
entirely ice bound and the snow is a foot deep. There are occasional outpost affairs, but the sniping never ceases, and the airmen carry on regardless of the weather.
Whatever the reason of the present lull, the Tommies appreciate their wellearned rest after continual figHing since April 9th. .
