T DIEDRICH JOHN HENRY ■L* EWERS, of Richmond, being the holder of a Publican's License in respect to the house and premises situate at Richmond, and known as the Star and Garter Hotel, do hereby give notice trat'l desire to obtain, and will at the next Licensing Meeting to be held at tho Courthouse at Nelson, on the seventh day of March, 1918, apply for a transfer of the said license from myself to David Scrimgeour, my appointee. Dated at Richmond the 17th day of December, 1917. 5650 D. J. H. EWERS. BOROUGH OF RICHMOND. By-law Regulating the Speed of Motors to itrtin vie Borough. 24. Any person riding a bicycle, or being tne' driver or" a motor-car, shall if and when and as required by a police constable in uniform stop and give his name, occupation, and address to such constable. 25. Every person riding or in charge of a motor-bicycle when used on any street, private street, or public place, shall comply with the regulations hereinafter set forth, namely:— (1.) He si" all not ride the motorbicycle at any speed greater, than is reasonable having regard to the traffic on the street, private street, or public place, so as to endanger the life or limb of any person, nor in any case at a greater speed than 12 miles an hour. Round or across any corner or intersection ' of a street the speed shall not exceed 6 miles an hour. 81. Every person driving or in charge of a motor-car when used on any public highway of the Borough shall comply with the regulations hereinafter .set forth,, namely:— (a) He shall not drive the motor-car on any public highway within the Borough recklessly or negligently, | or at a speed greater than 12 miles-, an lovf, or in a manner which is . dangerous to the public, "having regard to all the' circumstances of the case, including the nature, condition, and use of tre highway, and to the amount of the traffic which , actually is at the, time, or wtich ! might reasonably be expected to be on~ the highway. Round or across any corner or intersection of a street the speed shall not exceed 6 miles per hour.' (b) He shall not cause the motor-car to travel backwards for a gerater distance or time than may be requisite for purposes of safety. Tie above by-law was made hy Special Order at-a.
