La-st ov'omug tho final .screening' of "John Halifax, Gentleman," was greatly enjoyed by a large audience at tbe Empire Theatre.1 For to-night «a specially attractive programme has 'been arranged, including two star features. One is a Majestic drama entitled "Vengeance- is Mine." This is the story of a girl who tries to ruin a man out of revenge for a. wrong dono her. She finds, however, that his innocent chikt-. ren would be involved in his ruin, ivnd &o rerjents of her intentions. A wonderful film is Pat'he's oif tho Panama Exposition b j'day and night, -showing the Australian oart, the band, distinguished visitors, the general crowd, Sir Alfred ■Boak-en, a stockwhip and boomerang expert., the New Zealand celebrations, Maori haka, general views of the grounds, etc.; also the whole course of the Vanderbijti Cup raco. The supporting items will include, some fine comedies, the latest Gaumont Graphic, and other pictures of interest. A matinee will be held at 2.30 p.m. to-day. Motue-ka, will be visited to-night., when "John Halifax, Gentleman," will be screened.
