YESTERDAY.
[Before H. W. Eobinson, Esq., S.M.
Kuasell Whitwell waa brought up on remand for sentence. Ilia Worship said that the report; of the Probation Officer was favorable, and from it, it appened that prisoner was a first offender. He supposed that tbe stolen properly had been restored (Ser^t.Major Prat 1 ; said that it had). He would then deal with the casein the way suggested, tbe owner of the stolen property not wishing to press the charge, prisoner was placed on probation for three months. . Civil Business. , j Bout and Sons v. Edward Price. Mr Pitt for plaintiffs. Claim for £21 17s 6d. Defendant admit-ed tbe debt. Judgment for amount olaimed, with costs, £2 10a 6d. There was a pretty lengthy cause list, but all other cases were withdrawn, etruok out, or adjourned.
