THE AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
Fob the annual show of the Nelson Agrionltural and Pastoral Association, to be held | at Riohmond Park on the 28th inst., the entries are on the whole very satisfactory, and the number of horses, cattle, and sheep I on the show ground will be in excess of last \ year's exhibits. To enable comparisons to be made we give the number of entries for I last year as well as for this, the total entries in each class being as follows : — 1893 1894 Horses 140 211 Cattle 35 5G Pigs 22 17 Sheep 73 101 Domestic Produce 110 98 Farm Produce 34 19 Doga 11 9 There are also— Separators, 2 ; agricultural implements and local manufactures, S3. For the ensuing show the foil ..wing gentlemen have been appointed to act as Judges. Draught horses: S. Rowe (Wellington) Light horses : Wm. Lingard (Wellington) • Cattle : G. H. Scales (Wellington) Pigs : D. Draper (Blenheim) Sheep I A. J. Litchfield (B'enheim) Dogs : A. J. Litchfield (BleDbeim) Sheep shearing competition ; Messrs John Kerr and Joseph Best Domestic produce: Messrs J. A. Rankin and A Manoy (Motueka) Farm produce : Messrs Wm. Haddow and John Rutherford Agricultural implements, etc.: Messrs J. McAlister (Blenheim), and John Kerr Harness : Mr D. Burns (Blenheim)
