The Dutch have Bttrmed a stronghold of the Balanese insurgents ia the Island of Lombok. Desperate resistance w&s offered by tbe natives, who a few weeks before had badly out up the Dutch troops, but at lpngth they were driven oat with tbe loss of several hundred men, tbe assailants tbemselve3 lost one hundred and fifty. The Rijah wad among those who es japed.
