The sa Murray arrived at Westporfc at 5 p.m. jesjerclay. She leaves for Q-reymouth to-day. The as Taupo, arrived ia harbor at 330 p.m., yesterday, from Southern ports. She left Port Chalmers on the 15th, Lyttelton on the 16th, and Wellington at 1 a.m..yesterday, arriving at Picton at 6*30. a.m.; remained there one hour, and then left for Nelson, arriving as above. She left early this morning for Tarauaki and Manakau. Tnß Ringurooma, Captain M'Lean, arrived at 3 p.m yesterday, from Melbourne and South, having left Wellington at; midnight on Thursday. She leaves at 3 p m. to-day for Melbourne and South. The Wellington leaves Onehunga at 330 p.m. to-day, for New Plymouth, and will arrive here early on Monday morning. She leaves at 2 p.m. same day for Picton and South. The Celestial Queen will be towed out by the Charles Edward to-day. Eer destination is Newcastle; • : The Charles Edward for Watiganui, the Wallace for Wiest Coast, and the Lyttelton for Blenheim, are all announced to sail on Monday. * The Tui, made an excursion yesterday afternoon to Schroder's Mistake, having about' 50 on board. FREIGHT).-—The | Qrey River Argus says:—"lt will be seen from advertisement that Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood, and Co,, have reduced the rate of freight from Melbourne to the West Coast by their line of steamers to 57s per t°D> For some time past the rate was 703 per ton, which was generally considered high. A drop, however, of 13s per ton wiil no doubt meet the views of importers, and add largelj *o the imports by steam. The rate from Sydney, it will be observed, i 3 the same as from Melbourne."
