AQUATICS.
Aquatic sports are growing in favor in this Colony. Each of the principal Provinces have their annual regattas, and ibis year at Canterbury an inter-pro-vincial prize, vnlued at £150, was given for fouroared boats. The race wa9 run on the Heathcote rirer, and was won by a Lyttelton crew, in a localbuilt boat. Next year Wellington offers a similar prize, when boats from all the Provinces are expected to take part in the contest.
