NOTES ON THE DARFIELD TRACTOR TRIALS.
The cost of operating a tractor is of paramount importance to the farmer, and a careful analysis of the oflicial report of the Dartteld Farm- . ens' Union shows that a comparison . of the actual amount of spirit or other fuel used per acre and their respective cost, as estimated by the union, proves thai the Cleveland farm Tractor is the most economical to operate. Another factor that I must he remembered is that, while the Darfield trials were on flat, dry ground, the Cleveland is equally good on any kind of ground in any sort of weather. The caterpillar system of traction enables the Cleveland to be in its element during wet weather on hilly ground or the worst swampy ground that could be ploughed. For the farmer who wants a tractor that will successfully negotiate any country in any weather, it is the Cleveland which will "fill the bill." Messrs Dexter and Crozier, Ltd., Christcburch, arc the agents, and they will gladly furnish fuller particulars to all who are interesled. .12 --
