Three handsome donations have just been received in connection with the Trentham Scholarships Fund. , John Kirkcaldie,- Sidney Kirkcaldie, and the firm of Messrs Kirkcaldie and Stains, Ltd., have each made themselves responsible for the complete education of one child of a fallen New Zealand soldier. Under this scheme,the children, who will be selected by examination, will be educated and maintained until established iu professions of their own choice. The cost is £IOOO per child, thus the Kirkcaldies' contributions total the substantial sum of £3OOO.
