OTHER MAILS. , There will be a daily mail service to and from the West Coast from December 21 to January 30. ; < -Mails for Australian States, India, China, Ceylon, Hong Kong, Straits Settlements, South Africa, also United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, close at Christchurch on Wednesday afternoon. For Cass, Bealey Flat, Otira, Greymouth, Westport, Hokitika, and other West Coast offices, overland, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 7.30 a.m.; guard's van 8.30 a.m. train. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS., FRIDAY, DEC. 25 (CHRISTMAS DAY). Post offiecs will be closed in all branches. Mails for dispatch oh that day will close at 8 p.m. :on Thursday, December 24. A delivery of all correspondence will be made over the counter of the Chief Post Office on Thursday, December 24, between 8 and 9 p.m. SATURDAY, DEC. 26 (BOXING DAY). Post offices will be open in all'branches (except the Money-order and Savings Bank branch) from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the usual dispatch of' mails will be made up to 10 a.m. The letter-carriers will make one complete delivery of correspondence, starting from the Chief Post Office at 7.30 a.m. FRIDAY, JAN: 1 (NEW YEAR'S DAY). Post offices will be closed in all branches. Mails for dispatch on that day will close at 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 31. A delivery of all correspondence will be,made over the

counter at the Chief Post Office on Thursday, December 31, between.B and 9 p.m.
