ACTION FOR DAMAGES.
INDECENT ASSAULT CASE. Press Association. WANGANUI, December 4. A case in which Frances Mulliner claimed from Joseph Ivess £IOOO damages for alleged indecent assault was concluded at the Supreme Court to-day. The jury returned a verdict for £SO. The case was heard at last sitting of the Supreme Court-, wlion the jury disagreed. The plaintiff alleged that while living in a private hotel at Oliakune Ivess drugged and assaulted her. The defence was that the defendant engaged plaintiff as manageress of his private hotel and that overtures culminated in misconduct taking place between them on certain occasions.
