NORTH CANTERBURY MATCHES. In .the North Canterbury Cricket Association's Clip Competition, SAvaiinanoa defeated Ohoka on Saturday by-103 runs on the first innings. Swannanoa scored 195 (Allardyce 49, C. Skevington 31, Wright 29 retired, Skevington 19 retired, and E.'.Verrall 16), and Ohoka made 92 (Gallaghan 3.0; Ryde2l). Bowling for Swannanoa, E. Verrall took 9 wickets for 27. ' Loburn defeated Sefton by 16-1 runs on the first innings. Sefton scored only 30 runs (G. Humphreys 10 not out.). Chambers took four wickets for 11 runs, and Black four for 12. Loburn replied with 194 (Chambers 101 retired, Feary 28, Warner 26). WEST EYRETON v. OHOKA. The following is the result of a match played at Ohoka on Saturday in connection with the North Canterbury Association between West Eyreton and Olioka B, the game resulting in a win for West Eyreton by an innings and 7 runs. Ohoka put. up 36 and 44 (H. Garnett 20," T. Mortland' 14). West Eyreton, 87 (D. McGregor 21, F. Sheat 10, W. Pester 10, R. Frizzell 15). Ward* and Baynes bowled best for Ohoka, and GV Marshall (3 for 21) for West. Eyreton. The Ellesmere competition was furthered another step on Saturday* when Irwell defeated Dunsandel on the former's grounds. The scores were* —Ir : well, 153 (B. Chamberiain 56, B. Coe 33, J.
