For Oass, Bealey Flat, Otira, Greymoutli, Westport, Hokitika, and other West Coast offices, overland, Tuesday, Tiiursday, and Saturday, at 7.30 j.m.; guard's van 8.30 a.m. train. , ' ■ As from . December 1 the North Island mails, per ferry . steamer, close at. the Chief. Pos.t Office at 6 p.m.; ana late fee letters at 6.30, instead ox 6.15 and 6.45 respectively as at present. This . alteration is necessary owing to the ferry train leaving Cliristchurch 15 minutes earlier than at present; also mails by the afternoon trains to Waikari and Oxford will close at 3.30 p.m. instead of 4.15 p.m.,' the train leaving Christchurcli at 4.33 p.m..instead of at 5.20 p.m. .
