SWIMMING SPORTS, The Eangiora High School swimming sports commenced to-day. The following events were decided:—2syd handicap (seven entries): First heat, E. Barker, 7sec, 1; second heat, N. Hillery, 6sec, 1; final, E. Barker, 7sec, 1. Time, 23sec. 50yd handicap (five entries): T. Hickmott, scr., lj T. Henshaw, 6sec, 2. Time, 54see.
A cricket match was played between the Eangiora High School, past and present, and Woodend. The latter won by 160 to 80.
