MR ISITT'S FRIENDS.
To the Edltor of Tl£t} SUN. Sir, —;It.' is ;;persistently, rumoured in thss Avbu at a meeting of the-..'Prohibition .Council Mr L. >M. Isitt opposed the decision of the Nolicense Party t6 support Mr D. G. Sullivan for the Avon assuring to supporters : of the bare majority to know that this rumour is not weil founded, and Mr Isitt will render them a service if he will give that assurance, either publicly or through your columns. Some apprehension is felt over this matter on account of. Mr Isitt's intervention in the Kaiapoi election, against the bare majority candidate. Further, Mr G. W. Russell has assured the public of the very close personal and political friendship existing between Mr Isitt and himself, and this is also giving colour to the suggestion that Mr Sullivan is not a welcome candidate as far as Mr Isitt is concerned. Mr Isitt would greatly oblige if he would make his position absolutely clear. —I am, etc., > AVON ELECTOR.
