Describing the rate at which a motor car was travelling, a witness in the Ashburton Court said (reports the "Guardian") that he always judged the rate of a car by the speed it came towards him. "How fast was this car going?" asked defendant's counsel. "Like lightning," was the reply. '' But the other car was going faster, according to your statement.," objected counsel. "How fast was it going?" Witness was at a loss this time, but someone murmured, "Like greased lightning.'' For children's Hacking Cough ar night, Woods' Great Peppermint Cure. J/6, 2/6.
