Salmon, late third engineer on the Monowai, is to join the New Zealand Expeditionary Force I'einforcements, and his place lias been taken by Mr..P., Head. Lieut. J. S. G. Reid, R.N., who was ,at one time an officer in the Union Company's service, and ivho recently joined the Royal Navy, is now serving on H.M.S. is due there on Tuesday. She is bringing 309 passengers to New Zealand. The Ulimaroa will reach Lyttelton on Thursday afternoon, and will sail the same evening for Wellington, Sydney, and Hobart. Having completed Homeward loading here, the Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner lonic left Lyttelton on Saturday for Auckland. Included in her cargo were the following lines:—2l4 quarters beef, 148 casks and 178 crates cheese, 2032 boxes butter, 2454 bales wool.

To-day being a public holiday at Hobart, the departure of the Huddart-Parker steamer Wimmera for Wellington has been postponed until to-morrow. She will arrive at the northern port on Saturday, and at Lyttelton on Tuesday, sailing for Hobart and Melbourne, via Dunedin and Bluff the same day.
