A UNIVERSITY MATCH. The annual cricket match between teams representing Otago University and Canterbury College will be played in Dunedin to-morrow and on Wednesday, The Canterbury College team will be as follows: —A. J. Barnett, C. E. Beal, E. E. Crawshaw, A. Gurnsey, F. W. Gurnsey, P. Jolly, E. E. Luttrell, C. T. Moor, R. J. Richards, W. B. Thomas, and J. Wanklyn. NORTH CANTERBURY COMPETITION. In the North Canterbury Cricket Association's competition Swannanoa defeated Loburn by 23 runs on Saturday, the scores being: —Swannanoa, 182 (E. Verrall 93, Allardyce 48, G. Begg-14, W. Skevington 10). Loburn, 159 (Warner 22, C. Feary 39, Chambers 26, Black 45 not out, Weatherall 34). E, Verrall and J. Allardyce bowled best for Swannanoa and Black and Chambers for Loburn. VETERANS v. CITY COUNCIL STAFF. A match between the Christchurcli Veterans' Cricket Club and the City Counc.il's staff was played at Sydenham Park on Saturday. The municipal employees scored 198 (Knight 53 retired, Cropp 50 retired, Timiua 43, James 25),

and the Veterans' responded with 259 for seven wickets (Lawrence 61 retire*];, Harris 52 retired, Cook 39, Felton 35, McNae 25, Reed 21), and thus won by three wickets. TALL SCORING.
