LIFE-SAVING.
The Summer branch of the Royal Life oavlng £.. ciety opened the season this afternoon with a fuu alien ""iiice of members and friends, while many representatives from kindred clubs were also present. The Mr G. W. C. Smithson, in declaring the season opened, congratulated the "lub oa and 1 members, '' .ytui be in good form to carry on-the wbyk of life saving. Mr N. J. Miller, speaking as a member of the'. Harbour Board, said he would do everything in his power to further th~ f life riving. During the aftt~uOon tlu ut-ula'S gave an exhibition, and were loudly applauded for their efforts.
