MATCHLESS MOTORS AT THE A, AND P. SHOW. -

See the Matchless exhibit at the Show. There may be' larger displays, but nowhere else does the note of quality ring so true. The exhibit comprises several complete Matchless sidecar outfits, a model of the neat and popular 3£ h.p. twin-cylinder machine, and also one of the 3J h.p. single-cylinder, such wonderful value at £SO. The sidecar outfits comprise the most beautiful examples of this class of machine yet exhibited in New Zealand. The machine is fitted with the noiseless Matchless 7 h.p. engine, three-speed gear-box, enclosed silent chain drive, 700 x 85 tyres, the whole complete.with every possible refinement and luxury. The sidecars are examples of the best English coachmakers' work, and' are made of finest mahogany throughout. The fittings and accessories are the most complete possible, and everything has been carried out on a lavish scalb. This is the gentleman's motor cycle. It ..remains so clean and neat at all times. It never exudes one spot of oil from the engine, clutch, chains, or gears, yet all these parts are automatically and copiously lubricated. Everything is so perfectly made, so faithfully fitted up that no sound ever proceeds from a working part. The engine has unbounded power, and slips along in an effortless manner quite different from any other machine. It travels up hills with the same silent ease, and will negotiate any hill in New Zealand where the-surface will permit the wheels to grip. Summarised—a perfect design, carried out in materials of unequalled quality—a wonderful engine, 14 h.p. development warranted; cleanliness, silence, speed on top gear three miles to fifty-six miles per hour—in Ishort, a better motor cycle than any other motor cycle in the world to-day. jSee it, and you will immediately realise that there is no statement made above which cannot be promptly substantiated. Stand at the Show,, usual location. The Matchless Motor. Agency (N.Z.) W. H. Phipps Black,, sole wholesale iagent and distributor for New Zealand, 92 Manchester Street, Christchurch. 36
