THEFT FROM OFFICE.

Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 1. Some time during the early part of Friday evening the sum of £52 14/2 was stolen from the private office at the Epsom Tramway Depot. The money had been deposited there in readiness for the payment of the men on night shift duty. The drawer containing it had been forced with a chisel. The discovery was quickly reported and enquiries were instituted almost immediately by a detective.
