QUINCEY. Quincey is the oldest of all the competitors in the Trotting Cup, and he has raced with the utmost consistency for the last 10 seasons. He is trained privately by his owner, Mr S. Scott, at Ashburton, and enjoys the distinction of being the only trotter in. the race. Amongst his best performances are:— 1911—Dead heat with Clive in, Dominion Handicap at Addington; Time, 4min 37 2-ssec. 1912—Won Christchurch Handicap at Addington. DON OJESAB. Bred in the Ashburtou district, Don Osesar showed more than ordinary promise, in his earliest track essays. Early last season the son of Prince Imperial and Maritana was purchased by the local sportsman 'who races as Mr Hanbury, and has turned > out a remarkably good investment. Lately, Don Osesar has been troubled by rheumatism, and at one time was so bad that his owner was wiichin an ace of scratching him for the Trotting Cup.
