AMBERLEY SHOW.

» A SUCCESSFUL GATHERINGS. The fourteenth annual Show, held under the auspices of the Amberley Breeders' Association, took place today on the Pomain, Amberley, in fine weather. The formation of this Association was brought about by a desire to improve the breed of horses in the district, and is chiefly devoted to horses, though- a liberally-endowed section for domestic produce elicits keen competition. Quite big rings of horses competed in both the light and draught horse sections. This year the entries are well up to former years, and the Show lost nothing in comparison with its predecessors. The light horses were the chief feature of the Show, though draughts were, distinctly good, and included some of the best young stock iu Canterbury at the present time. Some of the best-known breeders of light horses at the Metropolitan Show always exhibit at Amberley, thus making' the competition particularly strong. -. ' ■- In the absence of Mr B. S. Jordan, secretary of the Association, who is with the Expeditionary Force, the secretarial work was carried out by Mr H. H. McNelly. , -. " THE PRIZE LIST.
