BOROUGH COUNCILS.
WOOLSTON. ■ The Woolston Borough Council met 'last evening, when there were present the Mayor (Mr J. J. Graham) and Crs A. Mountford, G. Lilley, W. Fuller, L. Hart, and J. S. Richardson. The financial statement showed receipts amounting to £B4O 17/7. The eash in hand amounted to £l4 19/6. There was a debit balance on the general account of £l7B 0/10, a debit balance on the temporary loans account of £1975 19/5, and a credit balance, on the supplementary public works loan account of £lO5 18/11. Accounts amounting to £164 4/10 were passed for payment. The Works Committee recommended the widening of Princes Street to be proceeded with after October 27. The report was adopted. A letter from Mr L. Birks, stating that he was in a position to supply the borough with electricity, was referred to the Electricity Committee. With reference to the revaluation of the borough, the Valuation Department wrote saying that it had decided not to undertake any revision at present, on account of the present unsettled state of affairs. - ==== i
