ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
■ FELL FROM A LADDER. A married man named Morris Franklin, '62 years of age, residing in Mathesoh's Road, Papanui, was admitted to the hospital at one o'clock to-day, suffering from injuries to his head and a badly lacerated nose, caused through falling a distance of twenty feet from a ladder at the new Colosseum building which is being erected in the Square. A BURNING ACCIDENT. Emily Bateman, a married woman, 32 years of age, and residing at 16, Durham Street, was admitted to the'hospital at 12.30 to-day, suffering from very severe burns on the lower part of her body. She was heard groaning by some neighbours, who found her lying under a tree in her garden. The only evidence of flre was a piece of burnt newspaper.
