KAIAPOI NO-LICENSE LEAGUE.
A moderate attendance assembled in the Oddfellows Hall last night to hear the Rev. R; B. S. Hammond, who gave a temperance address on behalf of the league. Mr Hammond was very interesting, and made a strong appeal to those present to put all their energies into the next five weeks to work for prohibition. Mr J. 11. Blackwell presided, and was supported on the platform by the Rev. Mr Martin, who proposed a vote of thanks to the lecturer. The meeting was brought to a close by the singing of the National Anthem.
