A remarkable piece of good luck has been experienced by one of the members of the Ashburton Amateur Swimming Club (says the "Guardian"). Whilst competing in a race during last season a heavy gold band ring 'fell off one of his fingers and sank to the bottom of the bath. lie had some idea of the particular spot where the ring had disappeared, and, waiting till about three weeks ago, when most of the water had been run off preparatory to the annual cleaning of the bath, he, with two or three members of the club, commenced to rake the silt over. After 10 minutes' work the ring was brought to light, none the worse for its long immersion in the mud and water. For Chronic Chest Complaints, Woods 7 Great Peppermint Cure. 1/6, 2/6. 3
