A German wireless message admits that the Germans have been unable to arrest the advance of the Allies' left, also that the Allies have advauced at several points. * SOME, September 30. A Berlin message states that Prince Osear has been invalided owing to heart trouble. Prince Joachim has been wounded, and is convalescent. The Kaiser's other sons are at the front. PARIS, September 30. It .is officially stated that German officers looted silverware and jewels at Compiegne, and .loaded them on to waggons on which they hoisted the Red Cross. , THE SOLDIERS' PAY. INCREASES GRANTED. (Scn Special.) WELLINGTON, October 1. The Hon. James Allen (Minister of Defence) announced in the House today that the pay of privates in the Expeditionary Force would be increased from. 4/6 per day to 5/-, and that of lance-corporals from 5/6 to 6/-.
