SUPERINTENDENT MITCHELL. Press Association. DUNEDIN, September 30. j Superintendent Mitchell retired from;, the Police Force yesterday on six-" month's leave on full pay. He left': to-day for Auckland, where he will reside. He joined the force in 1879. It; is understood that Inspector O'Donovan, of Napier, wdll be promoted to. Superintendent and be given charge of the Otago district.
