A telegram from Vienna states that the Russians have left Przemysl completely surrounded, while two columns are advancing rapidly along the railways in Galicia. The northern column assaulted Tarnow, and the southern occupied' San ok. Advancing westward they cut off a section of the Austrians wliich the Russian , northern army is driving southward. There is every indication that the Russians do hot intend to capture Cracow, but invest it in a similar manner to Przemysl, and advance on Breslau, and junction with the Russian centre ' for the invasion of Germany. SERVIANS AT SEMLIN. THE TOWN RECAPTURED. BASE FOR OFFENSIVE ACTION. (Received October 1, 9.5 a.m.) PETROGRAD, September 30. The Servians have recaptured Semlin, | and secured other positions. They will | use the town as a base for their even- j tual offensive action. i
