A NATIVE POISONED. HAWERA, September 2.3. A native named Kau a Tekangi has died near Normanby from ptomaine poisoning. An the inquest Dr McDiarmid stated that the germs developed very quickly in the hot weather, and warned the natives to be very careful. Deceased had eaten cray fish which, with mussels, are particularly liable to carry disease.
C. J. Pycroft a lad of 17 years, and residing in Matheson's Road, was admitted to the hospital to-day, suffering from injuries to his back, received through falling from one of Wardell.and Co. 'a. delivery.carts.
