Mr J. H. Boyd, of Canada, went north last evening. Mr A. L. High returned to Dunedin this morning. ~ The Rev. L. Hudson left by the Ulimaroa last night for Wellington. Mr R. McLean, of Hamilton, is at present in Christchurch, staying at Warner 's Hotel. Sir John Findlay arrived in Christchurch yesterday. *He will attend the sitting of the Supreme Court. Mr 6. L. Tacon arrived in Christchurch yesterday, after a visit to the Solomon Islands. Mr E. H. Hughes, of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company's staff, returned yesterday from a trip to South Australia. Mr Herbert Langford has consented to nomination for a seat on the Canterbury College Board of Governors. Mr H. Boyd, ex-chairman of the Education Board, is a candidate for the vacancy on the Board of Governors of Canterbury College.
