A DEFINITION.
To the Editor of THE STOF. Sir, —It would, I am sure, be of interest to many of your readers if you would be kind enough to explain through your columns the meaning in full, of the word "Moratorium." [The word is derived from the Latin, moratorius, a delaying, and Webster defines ''Moratorium" as "a period during which an obligor has a legal right to delay meeting an obligation, especially such a period granted in an emergency as to at bank or debtors generally by a moratory law."—Ed.
