MOTOR CYCLING.

PIONEER CLUB. There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Pioneer Amateur Bicycle and Athletic Club last evening. Mr W. J. Putnam,presided. The committee's report made special reference to the formation of the motor cycle section. Two . hundred motor cyclists had joined .the club. They had already done excellent work by placing themselves and their motors at the disposal of the military authorities. The club bad arranged accommodation for the storage of motors and ing to members. It was added that the club's prospects were very hopeful. It was shown by the balance-sheet that in the general account the club's receipts during the year totalled £317 the expenditure £287 12/-, leaving* a credit of £3O 1/10. In the building account the receipts were £387 18/5 and tne* expenditure £213 2/5. The club had no liabilities, although it had started the year owing £46 14/6. The report and balance-sheet wery adopted. Officers were elected, as follow:—Patron, ,Hon. E. C. J. Stevens, M.L.C.; president, Dr W- Thomas; vicerpresidents, Messrs F. E. Daniels. W. J. Putnam,] F. N. Adams, R. Wallace, P. Menzies, E. James, W. Benson; captain, Mr A, D.onaldson; vice-captain, Mr J. B. Merrett; committee, Messrs C. Bonnington, H. W. Candy, A. J. Harper, W. Minsori, Q. McKay, E. Ballin, R. Gunn, and C. F. Pratt; delegate to Sports Protection Association, Mr A. Donaldson; delegates to Canterbury: Centre, NyZ.A.A.A., Messrs C, F. .Pratt and ; 0, Anderson;: auditors, Messrs?; T.D--Cjhisnall and J.' .Huline; secretary, •MrP. R. Harman. Mr A. Donaldson was elected a life member of the club. The meeting decided to change the name of the club to '' The Pioneer Motor and Sports Club." . NORTH CANTERBURY CLUB. The fifth annual general meeting of the North Canterbury Motor Cyclists' Club was held on Saturday evening, Mr P. H. Powell presiding. The annual report, which was adopted, showed the receipts- to have exceeded the expenditure by £5 12/7, whilst the assets exceeded the liabilities. by £65 1/6, and the roll of the club showed an advance of 47 members over the previous year, The election of officers for Jthfe ensuing as follows:-:—President, Mb R. Powell, presented the prizes won during the season, and vote of thanks was accorded the outgoing officers and committee.
