OBITUARY.
MR W. McLEAN. Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 25. Mr William McLean, secretary of the Wellington Opera House Company, and managing director of the' Bbnithon Oil Company, Taranaki, formerly a "member of the House of Representatives, died to-day, aged 69. [The late Mr McLean, in the early days, was engaged .in mining pursuits on the West Coast. He defeated the present Minister for Internal Affairs (Hon. H. D. Bell) for Wellington "in, 1592, but was defeated at the next election. Deceased was for some years prominently identified with Spiritualism in Wellington. ] .
