To-morrow the Chatham Islands Fishing Company's Himitangi is expected at Lyttelton from Wellington, and will take her departure for the Chathams with stores the following day. An arrival at Wellington shortly after 4 o'clock on Saturday afternoon was the intercolonial liner Maunganui, from Newcastle »nd Sydney. This time she has come on n different errand, and for the purpose she has been painted a similar col-our to the other troopships already in port. The vessel has already been refitted, .and has additional accommodation, all this work having been carried out at Sydney and Newcastle. Further interior alterations to the steamer are being carried out at Wellington. It is announced (says the "Post") that the running of inter-State boats from Wellington to Melbourne, via Bluff and Hobart, is to be discontinued, the arrangement being that the vessels will proceed from Melbourne to Sydney, and then come on to Wellington and Lyttelton. From Lyttelton the vessel will return to Wellington and proceed to Sydney and Melbourne.

With a part-cargo of jarrah from Bunbury, the steamer Clan Colquhoun arrived at Wellington on Saturday afternoon from Timarn'. When she has landed the local cargo she will sail for Auckland on Thursday to put out the remainder.
