SUPREME COURT.
IN CHAMBERS. A chamber sitting of the Supreme Court was held this morning by his Honour Mr Justice Denniston. . Re George A. Smith, deceased (Mr Hunter), a motion for commission was referred to the registrar to report. lir Feehney v. Feehney, a divorce case, Mr Donnelly and Mr Cuniugham, appearing for the parties, a summons for security for wife's costs was granted. Security was fixed at £25. Christchurch City Council v. Riddell and others (Mr Loughuan) was a motion for the action to be tried at the present sittings. This was granted by consent. Christchurch City Council v. the McLean Institute (Mr Loughuan) was also a motion for action to be tried at the present sitting, and was granted by consent. Partridge v. H.M. the King (Mr Harper and Mr Raymond, K. 0.), was a suminon,s for special jury. The application was grauted and the trial fixed for Thursday, August 27, at 10.;!0 a.m. McEweu and Co. v. Van der Velden (Mr Hunter) was a summons for a commission to take evidence. This was granted by consent. Croft v. Hopkins and others (Mr Dougall), a summons for interrogatives, was granted accordingly by the consent of all the defendants. IN DIVORCE. A sitting of the Supreme Court will be hold on Monday next, August 17, when the following divorce cases will be heart!: — .Before-his Honour and a jury of 12: David Feehney v. Annie Fechucy and another. Before the Judge alone: Mary Walter v. Charles H. L. Walter and another; Florence A. Shaw v. Frederick H. Shaw; Fanny Richardson v. Geo. Richardson; Albert G. Morgau v. Sarah Morgan; Maud Mary Gordon v. James Gordon;, Martha TreKsler v. Charles F. Tressler; Mary E. Grantham v. Albert Geo. Grantham; William E. Ellis v. Ellen Ellis; Sarah H. L\ Sutcliffe v. Thomas R. Sutcliffe.
