The New Zealand team was the same as on Wednesday, save that Ryan took j Mackenzie's place, Gain Lindsay's, and McNeece Graham's. The game opened with close work in the centre, followed by fast loose play on the aprt of both sides. From a meiee, Downing passed to Wilson, who notched a try. Cockroft failed with the kick. New Zealand 3, New South Wales 0. Continuing the attack, passing by Black, Ryan, R. Roberts, -and Lynch ended in Lynch scoring. Cockroft again failed to convert. New Zealand 6, New South Wales 0. Open plaj- in the centre followed. Lynch made a fine run and, though unsupported, scored. Cockroft again failed with the kick. New Zealand 9, New South Wales 0. v The Welshmen became aggressive, and a -passing run resulted in Wogan scoring. He failed to convert. New Zealand 9, New South Wales 3. The Welshmen continued the attack, Wood potting a goal. New Zealand. 9, New South Wales 7. Second Spell. Upon resuming, the New Zealanders again became aggressive, and with play in the Welshmen ! s territory, R. Roberts passed to Taylor, who' Lynch failed to convert. New Zealand 12, New South Wales 7. From loose play Fisher snapped up the ball, and after a short run hatched a try. E. Roberts missed with the kick. New Zealand 15, New Soutu Wales 7. The Maorilanders still attacking, Franqs picked up and 'notched another try. E. Roberts converted. New Zealand 20, New South Wales 7. New South Wales, attacking fiercely, O'Donnell scored from a melee, Tasker failing to convert. New Zealand 20, New South Wales 10. Fast play resulted, and passing ensue'd betweeu Ryan, McNeece, and Taylor, who scored. E. Roberts added the extra points. New Zealand 25, New South Wales 10.
