Similarly, the principal feature of the 19i:M4 season has been the first fruits of the new reign. It has been the triumph of the policy of the open door for wool, meat, and sugar in that country, due'to the foresight, ability, and determination of the new President, who realised that-America, with a population .of close upon 100,000,000 head, demanded that her people-should be given the opportunity of being well fed and well clothed, also that as a manufacturing nation, raA\ T , products should be made
