LOWER PRICES. The, effect of the outbreak of war upon the skin market) was particularly noticeable at the weekly skin sale of the Canterbury Bye-Products Company at Soekburn yesterday. Good skins depreciated considerably. Half bred, skins made 3/8 to 5/3, and at the last sale the top price was 8/6; threequarterbreds,;;3/6 to 4/-, last sale 6/6 to 7/4; crossbreds 3/9 to 4/8, last sale 5/- to 6/6; merinos, 4/- to 5/- ; previous sales 5/9 t0.6/3.
