"RULE BRITANNIA."
AT THE THEATRE ROYAL. A new and effective finale to the "Forty Thieves" pantomime was introduced to the audience at the Theatre Royal last evening. The last ballet is the "Drums of all Nations," and it. was noticeable that the audience gave a most enthusiastic reception to the young ladies who represented the French-nation. The applause was even more vigorous when the representatives of Great Britain appeared. At the conclusion of the ballet Miss Marie Eaton sang "Rule Britannia," and this was followed by "God Save the King." The patriotic touch given to the proceedings was'quite effective.
